N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, also called Acetylcysteine, NAC is a medication that is used to treat paracetamol (acetaminophen) overdose, and to loosen thick mucus in individuals with chronic bronchopulmonary disorders like pneumonia and bronchitis.
